Facilities

Here is an overview of the Lind Station facilities.

Office Building

The office building was built in 1949 after a fire destroyed the previous building. It has offices and the soil and aggregate labs. The office had a complete remodel in 2013 with a new roof, new windows, new carpet and linoleum, and new bathroom and laboratory fixtures.

Shop

The shop was built in 1960. In 2024 it underwent major renovation (including new doors, insulation, windows, and network upgrade) with funds from the Washington Legislature.

Equipment Shed

The Equipment Shed was built in 1985 with funds from the Washington Wheat Commission. It is used to store large scale and plot size farming equipment, the school bus, and some vehicles. It is also home to our farm cat.

Deffenbaugh Building

The Deffenbaugh Building was built in 1983 with funds from the Washington Wheat Commission and WSU Department of Agriculture (hay and grain fund). It houses lab space, a conference room, storage, and vehicle bays.

The Washdown Building has our secure chemical storage.
Granary.

Granary

The granary is the oldest building on the Lind Campus.
Weather station.

Weather Station

The Weather Station is where we record the weather daily and submit the data to the National Weather Service.

Farming Equipment

Current farming equipment used for all farming operations, both large scale and plot size.

This tractor was purchased in 2025.

This yield monitor was purchased in 2025 with funds from the Camp Endowment and placed in the CASE IH 1680 combine.

1999 5510 John Deere tractor is primarily used for plot work, but it also used around campus for various tasks.
